"Getty gets Shulman archives
Julius Shulman's files number more than 260,000 negatives, prints and transparencies, including some of the most recognized images of Los Angeles architecture. His iconic photograph of Case Study House #22 (designed by Pierre Koenig) is from 1960. Now 94, Shulman said Monday he wanted his work to remain in Los Angeles. The Getty Research Institute paid an undisclosed sum and outbid the Huntington Library, UCLA, USC and the Library of Congress. The Getty will mount its first show of theShulman photos in October."

The Koenig house above reminds me of the house on top of Mount Rushmore at the end of North by Northwest, especially with that sheer dropoff. Couldn't find a picture of it though.
