what I didn't watch this weekend

1. the oscars, as I anticipated they'd be mind-numbingly tedious. were they? I like Penny Cruz n' Pedro Almodovar though, so here's a picture of them, not from this weekend, but from some other awards shin-dig from 3 or 4 years ago. Sr. Almodovar is sensibly restive.

2. various shows in which perfectly good houses are torn up to make 'em fancier looking.

3. any show in which a beat-up old car is "pimped" with obscenely large speakers and various other tacky doo-dads.
