notebook babies?

more blogging laziness. in fact I've decided that I will use less capitalization here at HZ er, hz, no HZ from now on, only capitalizing proper nouns and the word "I", which seems appropriate insofar as blogs are creations of a busy yet indolent society with an excessively inward gaze. also it's a labor savings thing.

Anthony, the guy who did the short animation above says:

Notebook Babies are short animated films I create as a teacher to help motivate my fifth graders to learn. Check out the official website at for more info.

Sit up straight

Do you ever visit the Internet Archive? Well, you should, darn it. This past week the British National Health Service's "A Modern Guide to Health"(1947, above) was the number one downloaded item in their video channel.

A US Hays Code era exploitation film, "Sex Madness"(1938) was number two, but I figured the typical HZ visitor is too refined for that sort of thing.
